Binance Research Flags Record Crypto Market Cap in September 2026
Binance Research has identified September 2026 as a record-setting month for the total cryptocurrency market capitalization. The report highlights that Bitcoin (BTC) has confirmed a golden cross, a bullish technical indicator. Despite this positive signal, real yields continue to pressure BTC's price.
Binance's pre-IPO perpetuals volume doubled, and the utilization of bStocks climbed to 11.2 percent, surpassing the sector average by 3.8 percentage points. At the time of the report, BTC's price stood at $85,509.53, situated within the Bollinger Bands, with upper resistance at $86,529.36 and lower support at $84,190.54.
The 50-day exponential moving average (EMA50) is at $84,808.36, while the 200-day EMA (EMA200) is at $81,683.99, maintaining a broader bullish structure. However, the MACD death cross at 306.2 suggests fading momentum, and the relative strength index (RSI) at 53.11 remains neutral.
Analysts suggest a probable retracement toward the 50-EMA support level before further upward continuation. Traders monitoring BTC price predictions and crypto market cap growth expect the setup to favor continuation only after this pullback clears.
