Binance RWA AUM Soars to $34 Billion Amid Tokenized Equities Boom
The growth of real-world assets (RWA) on Binance has reached new heights, according to its latest research. The total Assets Under Management (AUM) for RWA has climbed to $34.18 billion after an impressive 85.2% year-to-date (YTD) growth.
Tokenized equities have seen a staggering jump of 390.4% YTD, however, it's worth noting that only a tiny fraction of these assets are actually on-chain. Specifically, just 0.01% of the underlying markets sit on-chain, with tokenized equities making up an even smaller percentage at 0.0029% of the massive $151.9 trillion listed-equity market.
PAR (Price Adjustment Rate) and CAR (Collateral Adjustment Rate) are two new metrics introduced in the report to track the performance of tokenized shares and their usage in liquidity pools, lending, and collateral. The overall CAR has reached 12%, with equity CAR rising from 1.95% to 7.54% this year.
The majority of deployed equity value is currently in liquidity pools at 65.4% and lending at 28.1%. This marks the beginning of a new chapter for RWA market expansion and tokenization growth, with issuance being a key driver in the past, now giving way to activation as the primary factor.
