Binance Sees 40.6% Surge in Stablecoin Inflows to $30.5 Billion
Binance stablecoin inflows have seen a significant increase, rising 40.6% to $30.5 billion, according to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost. This represents a $8.8 billion recovery in large investor activity, which had slowed down previously. The increase in stablecoin deposits into Binance is a sign of renewed movement of trading liquidity toward the exchange, but it does not confirm that the deposited funds have already been used to buy Bitcoin. Stablecoins can be held for future trades or used as collateral in derivatives markets.
Darkfost noted that some previous increases in stablecoin deposits coincided with market rebounds and were associated with technical bounce trades and dip buying. However, he distinguishes the latest recovery from those earlier episodes, linking it to his view that Bitcoin is confirming a structural trend reversal. The rolling 30-day measure of stablecoin deposits also does not represent the amount of stablecoins currently sitting on Binance, as it records qualifying deposits made during the preceding 30 days.
Investors remain cautious, weighing expectations for October against broader economic and geopolitical conditions, including conflict, inflation, and higher bond yields. As a result, the rise in large stablecoin inflows provides evidence of increased movement of capital into Binance, but it does not confirm the scale or timing of any resulting Bitcoin buying.
