Binance Sees Largest Bitcoin Outflow in Three Years
Bitcoin reserves on Binance are experiencing a rapid decline as large holders, or whales, withdraw significant amounts of the cryptocurrency despite its price volatility. The exchange, which holds the largest Bitcoin reserves, saw its outflows reach a three-year high, signaling growing confidence in Bitcoin's potential price appreciation.
Recent data from a CryptoQuant analyst revealed that nearly 14,300 BTC were withdrawn from Binance in a single day, marking the largest daily net outflow recorded on the platform. This surge surpassed the 13,800 BTC withdrawn from Binance the previous week, indicating a strong accumulation trend among large Bitcoin holders.
The strong outflow trend has been consistent over the past weeks, with Binance recording a massive 23,100 BTC in net outflows last week. This represents the strongest weekly withdrawal since June 2023, suggesting a potential bullish momentum for Bitcoin. The cumulative withdrawals over the past two weeks have reduced Binance's Bitcoin reserves from 704,800 BTC on September 20 to around 663,100 BTC as of October 5, totaling approximately 40,000 BTC worth about $3.3 billion.
As demand from investors surges, Binance's Bitcoin outflows have hit a three-year high, further positioning the asset for a potential bull run.
