Binance Sees Record Outflows as Bitcoin Price Surges
Bitcoin's price surge has led to a significant increase in withdrawals from Binance, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges. According to CryptoQuant data, more than 13,800 BTC left the exchange in a single day, marking the largest net outflow since 2023.
This is a notable trend, as Binance's Bitcoin reserves fell by roughly 20,000 BTC over four days, from around 705,000 BTC to 685,000 BTC. This decline in exchange balances could indicate that some investors are choosing to hold their coins themselves instead of leaving them on the exchange.
CryptoQuant analyst Darkfrost noted that this behavior is associated with longer-term holding and a potential reduction in selling pressure. However, it's essential to note that withdrawals do not necessarily mean accumulation, as transferred coins can be held privately or moved between platforms.
