Binance Tackles Crypto Literacy Gap in South Asia with Incentivized Learning Program
Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume and users, has launched an incentivized learning program called 'Academania Skill-Up' to support South Asian users in building foundational knowledge of blockchain and digital assets.
The six-month campaign features a different course each month, with participants earning certificates for completing the courses and entering a draw for rewards. The first edition, which covers blockchain basics, DeFi, Web3, and trading concepts, has already begun, with participants required to submit their certificates by October 5.
The program aims to address the issue of crypto literacy in South Asia, where millions of first-time users are entering the market without a basic understanding of wallet security, scam recognition, or blockchain mechanics. According to Chainalysis' 2026 Global Crypto Adoption Index, India ranks sixth globally for grassroots crypto adoption and second for transaction volume.
'The gap today isn't access, it's understanding,' said SB Seker, Head of APAC at Binance. 'For someone starting out, a two-hour course can mean the difference between recognizing a scam and losing savings.'
