Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has been conducting regular simulated phishing attacks against its own employees to test their security awareness and identify vulnerabilities.

The 'red team' at Binance, an internal ethical hacking unit, conducts these monthly tests as part of the company's efforts to stay ahead of potential hackers.

'We do phishing attacks on our own employees on a monthly basis just so we understand if our security hygiene is improving,' said Jimmy Su, Binance's chief security officer. 'The ones that have failed it, we will do remediation training.'
