Binance, one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, has announced new measures for Brazilian users starting November 1. Cross-border crypto transfers will now require users to provide the purpose and recipient details before withdrawals can be processed. Deposits may be held or returned if the necessary information is missing, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

This update does not affect transfers between Brazilian users, but cross-border transactions will be subject to stricter scrutiny. Binance will report these transactions monthly to Brazil’s central bank, enhancing transparency and regulatory oversight.

Transfers up to $50,000 will have 10 purpose options available, while larger transfers will require selection from one of 96 categories. This tiered approach aims to streamline the process while ensuring compliance for higher-value transactions.
