Binance to Briefly Suspend Deposits and Withdrawals for Preventive Maintenance
Binance has announced that it will temporarily suspend deposit and withdrawal operations on September 22 at 06:00 UTC for approximately one hour. The exchange cited preventive maintenance work as the reason for the brief pause, which is part of a broader operational maintenance schedule set by the company for the close of Q3 2026.
The technical maintenance period will not disrupt spot or futures trading on the platform. Binance clarified that user balances will remain secure across cold and hot storage during the process. The exchange's administration stated that it will not issue an additional notice once services are restored, meaning functions will be reactivated automatically upon completion of node synchronization.
The upgrade aims to optimize API performance and improve transaction processing throughput for multi-signature wallets. This infrastructure update is designed to support higher on-chain transaction volumes and strengthen cryptographic verification layers.
