Binance to Delist Three Altcoins Amid US Crypto Policy Shift
Binance has announced it will delist three altcoins from its spot trading platform on September 3. The affected assets are ICON (ICX), Secret (SCRT), and Storj (STORJ). Binance said this decision followed a review of the projects, which considered factors such as token team commitment, development activity, trading volume and liquidity, network safety, public communication, community engagement, and response to due diligence requests.
The delisting will occur in phases across different services. For instance, spot copy trading for these pairs will stop on August 27 at 03:00 UTC, while futures users face an earlier deadline with positions closing and settling automatically on August 26 at 09:00 UTC.
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao commented on the US crypto market, stating that wider access for Hyperliquid could benefit the industry. He pointed to the possibility of more perpetual DEXs and other decentralized services becoming available to American users.
