Binance Unleashes 24/7 FX Perpetuals with USD/BRL Launch
Binance is expanding its offerings in the derivatives market by introducing 24/7 FX perpetual contracts. The first contract to be listed will be USD/BRL against USDT, which will start trading on September 21 at 14:00 UTC with leverage of up to 100x.
This move marks Binance's entry into the foreign exchange market, applying a crypto-style market structure to traditional currency trading. The exchange can use derivatives pricing and external reference feeds to keep a synthetic FX market running even when conventional banking markets are closed.
The introduction of FX perpetual contracts on Binance is part of a broader trend where crypto exchanges are increasingly offering products that have little to do with cryptocurrency itself, such as tokenized stocks, gold, commodities, prediction markets, and now FX derivatives.
