Binance Unveils Hold to Earn Feature with Up to 4.75% APR on Stablecoins
Binance has introduced 'Binance Hold to Earn', a new feature that allows users to earn passive yield on eligible stablecoins in their self-custody wallets. This move directly targets the friction that usually stops casual holders from earning yield on stablecoin balances.
The feature requires no staking, no lock-in period, and no smart contract interaction, making it a straightforward way for users to earn rewards without complexity. In its first phase, three stablecoins qualify for Binance Hold to Earn: USDC, USDT, and BUSD. The estimated APR for these assets are 1.5%, 4.75%, and 3.6% respectively.
Binance notes that these rates are promotional and funded by partner programs, not guaranteed returns tied to the asset itself. Rewards start accruing after 24 hours of holding at least 10 units of an eligible asset, and users can claim accumulated rewards every Tuesday at 08:00 UTC+8. The launch also comes with a $150,000 prize pool for an upcoming 'Hold and Trade U' leaderboard event.
