Binance Unveils Realized Perp Slippage Metric for Enhanced Trading Efficiency
Binance has introduced a new metric called realized perp slippage, which evaluates the difference between expected and actual slippage during market orders. This development is aimed at enhancing trading efficiency and providing traders with deeper insights into order execution quality and market conditions.
The introduction of this metric comes at a time when traders are increasingly seeking tools that offer better insights into market dynamics. By taking a snapshot of the order book before market orders execute, Binance can calculate expected slippage and compare it to actual slippage at the point of execution.
Currently, the new metric provides a snapshot of expected slippage at $0.94, contrasting with an actual fill at $1.63. This significant difference underscores the importance of understanding slippage in trading execution.
