Binance US is seeking to expand its offerings in the US market by applying for a Designated Contract Market (DCM) license from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This move will allow Binance US to offer regulated futures, options, and event-based contracts, positioning it alongside established prediction market operators.

The planned application is part of Binance US's broader effort to restore confidence, strengthen regulatory compliance, and diversify its business following years of legal and operational challenges. If approved, Binance US will become one of the few cryptocurrency exchanges in the US capable of operating a fully regulated prediction market under CFTC oversight.

Prediction markets have experienced rapid growth over the past two years as investors increasingly use them to speculate on political, economic, and financial events. Regulated prediction markets function as financial exchanges where users trade contracts tied to specific outcomes, such as interest rate changes or cryptocurrency price movements.
