Binance Wallet Introduces USDT Fee Support Across Four Major Networks
Binance Wallet has introduced a feature that allows users to pay blockchain transaction fees using Tether's USDT stablecoin on four major networks.
The feature, which went live on September 25, currently supports BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, and TRON. This move removes a long-standing hurdle for users who primarily hold stablecoins rather than native tokens.
Previously, completing an on-chain transaction required holding each network's native gas token: BNB on BNB Smart Chain, ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, and TRX on TRON. Users with USDT ready to send could find themselves unable to finalize the transfer simply because they lacked the correct token for fees.
The update lets those users select USDT as the fee currency when confirming supported transactions inside the wallet. Fee amounts remain dynamic and tied to network conditions, meaning congestion can push costs higher on Ethereum Virtual Machine networks and Solana, while lower activity can reduce the amount required.
