Binance Wallet Introduces USDT Payments for Gas Fees Across Four Major Blockchains
Binance Wallet has introduced a new feature that allows users to pay gas fees in USDT on four major blockchains, including BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Solana, and TRON. Starting September 25th, users can select USDT as the network-fee payer when signing transactions, eliminating the need to hold native tokens for each chain.
This change removes a long-standing friction point in cryptocurrency transfers, where users would often struggle to move assets due to lack of native tokens. With this update, Binance Wallet now supports paying gas fees in USDT on four major networks, making it easier for users to transfer funds without the need to hold specific coins.
The company notes that using USDT for gas does not eliminate underlying blockchain network fees, which still go to validators. However, Binance ensures that none of these fees go to the company itself, maintaining transparency and separating service fees from blockchain gas costs.
