Binance's TradFi Perpetuals Surge as Multi-Asset Trading Takes Hold
The Binance exchange has seen significant growth in its traditional finance (TradFi) perpetual contracts, with data showing that 10 out of the top 15 perpetual contracts by 24-hour volume are TradFi assets like equities, ETFs, and commodities.
The SanDisk (SANDUSDT) perpetual contract led the list, recording nearly $7 billion in 24-hour trading volume, which represented roughly 22% of SanDisk's corresponding 24-hour trading volume on Nasdaq.
Binance's expansion into TradFi assets has been driven by its vision to become a multi-asset financial super app where users can access crypto, tokenized securities, and traditional asset classes within a single account.
According to Binance's Head of Exchange and Trading, Shunyet Jan, the shift validates the exchange's mission to make its platform a hub for cross-asset strategies, allowing traders to execute trades without leaving the platform.
