Birmingham Couple Targets Cryptocurrency Robbery Suspects with £10,000 Reward

A £10,000 reward has been offered by Crimestoppers for information about a targeted home robbery involving cryptocurrency in Birmingham.

The charity announced the reward on September 24 as authorities continue investigating the attack on a young couple in Smith's Wood. The incident occurred on December 13, 2025, at around 5:20 p.m., when three men left a nearby vehicle and followed the couple through their front door.

The attackers demanded a substantial cryptocurrency transfer after entering the property, with another person relaying instructions to them via a video call during the robbery. The husband suffered serious injuries after being assaulted, while his wife, who was pregnant at the time, was threatened with a knife.
