BISON Expands Crypto Offerings Amidst EU Regulation Shift
Börse Stuttgart's retail crypto platform BISON has added eight new cryptocurrencies to its existing catalogue, expanding its offerings to over 70 assets. The new listings include DoubleZero, EUR CoinVertible, Maple Finance, Pendle, Pudgy Penguins, Render, Sky, and Turbo.
The expansion comes as the European Union's MiCA regulation reaches its transition period, which ended on July 1, 2026. Under MiCA, regulated providers can now offer services across the EU through regulatory passporting, while unlicensed platforms must stop accepting new customers and begin winding down operations.
BISON CEO Dr. Ulli Spankowski stated that the platform aims to provide a reliable trading environment with a broad offering of cryptocurrencies, without compromising on regulation. The addition of EUR CoinVertible, a euro-denominated stablecoin issued by Societe Generale-FORGE, is particularly notable as it complies with MiCA's stablecoin requirements.
The new listings also include Render Network and DoubleZero, which focus on decentralized infrastructure and computing power. Maple Finance and Pendle give BISON users exposure to decentralized finance (DeFi) through lending and yield-bearing assets. Sky connects the platform to the former MakerDAO ecosystem.
