The Bitcoin ETF market has seen a significant shift in fee landscape after BITB's expense ratio was cut to 0.20%. This reduction puts BITB ahead of its rivals, including WisdomTree's BTCW, which carries an expense ratio of 0.30%.

BTCW showed an expense ratio of 0.25% as of September 18, 2026, which is significantly higher than BITB's new rate. The lower fee makes BITB a strong tool in the market, allowing it to undercut its competitors' fees.

The performance and risk metrics also reveal that BITB's 1-month return was 21.68%, beating BTCW's 25.54% return. However, BTCW returned 25.5% over the last month, outperforming BITB's 21.68%. The funds' volatility varies significantly, with BITB's 20-day volatility at 43.31%

BTCW manages $171 million in total assets and has 1,990,000 shares outstanding, a stark contrast to BITB which manages $2 billion in total assets and had 68,160,000 outstanding shares as of August 2, 2026. The difference in volume remains significant, with BITB recording an average volume value of $58.49M over the last month.
