Bitbank, a licensed Japanese crypto exchange, has launched its EPOS Crypto Card for Bitbank. The card allows users to pay credit card bills directly from their balances held on the exchange. This marks the first service in Japan enabling credit card bills to be settled directly from a crypto exchange account.

The card was developed in partnership with EPOS Card, the fintech arm of retail group Marui. Users can opt to have their monthly credit card bills automatically paid in Bitcoin from their Bitbank holdings. Currently, only Bitcoin is supported for bill payments, but the company plans to expand support to other cryptocurrencies in the future.

Cardholders also earn 0.5% crypto cashback on monthly spending. Rewards can be received in Bitcoin, Ether, or Aster and are deposited directly into users' Bitbank accounts.
