Bitcoin Analyst Willy Woo on How Travel Saved Him from a Life of Negativity
Willy Woo, a well-known Bitcoin (BTC) advocate and cryptocurrency analyst, has shared his personal story of how he overcame a deep sense of negativity after losing both parents to cancer at a young age.
In an X post from September 12, Woo recounted that after his parents passed away when he was 18, he believed he too would die young. For the next 10 years, this dread took hold, and Woo lived with it until he finally uncovered a 'hack.'
At 28, Woo quit his corporate engineering job and traveled the world, visiting a new place every two to three days. He described this experience as '12x time compression,' where six months felt like two years to him.
This trip gave Woo a new sense of purpose, and he started chasing 'newness.' He went on to quit his job, start businesses, and live nomadically, optimizing his life for new experiences rather than happiness or money.
