Bitcoin and Ether ETFs Draw $2.65 Billion in September Inflows
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a significant influx of funds in September, attracting $2.65 billion in net inflows. This marks the second-largest monthly inflow since October 2025, according to SoSoValue data. Institutional demand remains strong, with analyst Dominick John from Zeus Research noting that the ETF inflows indicate 'has not faded.'
The September inflows were slightly lower than the $3.52 billion seen in August but still significantly higher than levels seen throughout the past year. Spot ether ETFs also drew $832.43 million in September, their second-largest monthly inflow since August 2025. Bitcoin ETF inflows continued into October, reporting $102.7 million on the first day of the month, while ether ETFs shed $55.4 million.
John attributes the sustained institutional demand to a potentially more bullish setup heading into the final quarter of the year. He notes that the Q4 bottom seems to be established, and continued ETF inflows signal improving market sentiment. Traders will continue to monitor ETF inflows alongside key U.S. economic data, including the upcoming jobless claims report on October 8.
