Bitcoin Battles Key Resistance at $80,000
Bitcoin's price surged past $81,000 on Tuesday after a sharp rejection at the $80,000 level the previous day.
The cryptocurrency's failed attempts to break through the key psychological threshold on Monday led to a decline of around $1,500, with prices falling below the $79,500 support level before rebounding above $78,400.
Market analyst James Stanley noted that Bitcoin had twice approached the $80,000 mark before snapping back, and the latest move above $81,000 could be significant in determining whether bulls can establish a sustained breakout.
Bitcoin is now just $2,000 away from making its first higher high, which would be a substantial technical win for the bulls.
