Bitcoin Bear Market Declared Over by Strive CEO Amid Dollar Weakness
Strive CEO Matt Cole has declared that the Bitcoin bear market is over, citing key technical indicators and macroeconomic trends. According to Cole, a shift in the BTC/gold ratio from a downtrend to an uptrend against both gold and the U.S. dollar confirms the end of the bear phase.
Cole points out that the BTC/gold ratio has historically been a reliable predictor of Bitcoin's price action over the past two years. He notes that Bitcoin topped against gold in December 2024, while its dollar peak came later in October 2025. The recent bottoming pattern followed by a clear uptrend has convinced him that the bear market is conclusively over.
Cole also identifies several structural factors that could support Bitcoin's price in the coming months. He points to the long-term weakness of the U.S. dollar, ongoing currency debasement, and growing demand for scarce assets as artificial intelligence expands. These elements create a favorable environment for Bitcoin, which is often viewed as a hedge against inflation and monetary expansion.
