Bitcoin Blasts Through $82,000 as Institutional Buying and Macro Tailwinds Drive Surge
Bitcoin has broken through $82,000 for the first time, reaching a high of $82,100 on September 21. This significant milestone marks a turning point after five consecutive daily gains and a prolonged period of sideways trading.
The altcoin market has also seen a surge in prices, with Ethereum (ETH) breaking through $2,700, ZEC hitting $1,500, and NEAR reaching $4.35. Tokens such as ENA and ZAMA have also posted significant gains.
Bitcoin spot ETFs have recorded net inflows of nearly $1 billion in multiple weeks since August, with a staggering $1.92 billion in net inflows during the week of August 21. Ethereum spot ETFs have also seen strong performance, maintaining positive inflows for three consecutive months since July.
Michael Saylor's company has increased its Bitcoin holdings to 845,050 coins, valued at $68.76 billion, after repurchasing roughly 3,000 BTC since late August. This signals a marked uptick in institutional allocation appetite and macroeconomic tailwinds.
