Bitcoin Blazes Past $84,000 as Ethereum Surges to $2,713
Bitcoin's price surged past $84,000 on September 21, marking a new recent high as the cryptocurrency market continues to rally. Ethereum also gained momentum, breaking above $2,700 and reaching an intraday peak of $2,713.
The recovery in digital asset market sentiment has been driven by the continuous rally in Bitcoin and Ethereum, which have both seen significant gains in recent days. On September 18, Ethereum recorded a single-day gain of over 6%, demonstrating that the current capital inflow is gradually spreading from Bitcoin to major altcoins.
The U.S. SEC's introduction of a five-year 'innovation exemption' has become an important factor in improving market sentiment. This allows eligible platforms to trade tokenized U.S. stocks on the blockchain, and even if the Clarity Act is stalled in Congress, U.S. regulators continue to advance reforms to certain digital asset market rules.
Capital flows have also shown improvement, with U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recording a net inflow of approximately $160 million last Thursday. This has helped reinforce BTC's upward momentum after breaking above $80,000.
