Bitcoin Bottom Confirmed: $80,000 Range Takes Hold
Dan Tapiero, a macro investor and founder of the 10T fund, believes that Bitcoin (BTC) has already bottomed out. In an interview on The Wolf of All Streets podcast, he stated that the low point will not be revisited.
The real catalyst behind Bitcoin's bottom was not the Treasury's bond buyback program but rather the coordinated U.S.-Japan intervention in the dollar-yen exchange rate, according to Tapiero. He notes that the pair started moving at around 162 to 163 and sees another 10% of downside still ahead for dollar-yen.
Tapiero pointed out that a convergence of catalysts raised the floor on the same day: Treasury intervention, Trump's public support for Hyperliquid Strategies (PURR), SEC and CFTC supportive regulatory signals, and the shift from a $60,000 to $70,000 range into a $70,000 to $80,000 range as Bitcoin's new base.
Tapiero sees tokenizing illiquid assets as the biggest long-term opportunity. He notes that hundreds of trillions of dollars in real estate, art, and esoteric assets sit locked away from global investors, and blockchain provides the infrastructure to unlock them.
