Bitcoin Breakout: Can BTC Close Above $81,000 and Confirm Bull Market?
Bitcoin has shown impressive resilience in recent days, bucking expectations of decline amidst negative news. Despite setbacks such as the CLARITY Act failing to pass in the US Senate and rate hikes by the Fed and BOJ, Bitcoin initially slumped but quickly recovered.
The cryptocurrency's price dropped to a three-week low at $75,000 on Tuesday and Wednesday, but bulls returned with a strong push on Friday, driving the asset to over $81,000 for a two-week peak. On Saturday, it remained above this level.
Analysts Crypto Rover and CryptoGoos have identified $81,000 as a key breakout level, suggesting that reclaiming the 50-week moving average at around $81,700 would confirm the start of a bull market. This is particularly significant because other data indicates that the low-$82,000 region is an important resistance zone.
Additionally, analyst EGRAG CRYPTO proposes a higher threshold for declaring a macro bullish structure in Bitcoin. He suggests that reclaiming and retesting the 100-period EMA on the five-day chart near $90,000 would be necessary before confirming the bull market phase.
