Bitcoin Breakout Hinges on Single Key Level: $84,800
Bitcoin's price is eyeing a breakout to $90,000 after spot Bitcoin ETFs logged their best week since October 2025. Analyst Michaël van de Poppe said that if Bitcoin breaks through $84,800, it will likely continue to grind higher and reach the $90,000 levels.
The buying activity in spot Bitcoin ETFs was significant, with inflows reaching almost $1 billion on Monday, but dropping by 87% to roughly $134 million by Friday. The price of Bitcoin followed a similar trend, peaking at about $86,603 last week and then drifting lower through the rest of the week.
The main risk for this week's market is macroeconomic data, specifically August personal consumption expenditures (PCE) inflation data, which is due on September 30. Fundstrat's Tom Lee had argued that a decline in PCE inflation could be bullish for crypto, as it would indicate the Federal Reserve walking back some of its hawkishness.
