Bitcoin Breaks $86K, Crypto Stocks Surge on US Regulatory Push
The crypto market has seen significant gains following the US SEC's Innovation Exemption Framework approval. As Bitcoin price surged past $86,000, several key players in the space have risen with it. Circle (CRCL), Strategy (MSTR), and Coinbase (COIN) have led the charge, with CRCL up 3% at $94.75, MSTR up over 8% at $166.35, and COIN surging more than 5.5% to $205.09.
Goldman Sachs has commented on the framework's potential benefits for firms like Coinbase, Robinhood, and Circle. Meanwhile, Strategy's recent purchase of 950 BTC, valued at around $75.7 million, suggests confidence in Bitcoin's long-term trajectory. Bitmine (BMNR) has also seen a rise, with its stock jumping about 6% today to trade at $27.43.
The surge is attributed to the US SEC's Innovation Exemption Framework and market optimism following Bitcoin's price increase. The recent rally has been a significant turnaround from last week's decline after the CLARITY Act failed in the Senate vote.
