Bitcoin Breaks Free from Seasonal Patterns Amid ETF Surge
The traditional rules governing Bitcoin's price movements may be losing their relevance as the cryptocurrency continues to defy historical patterns.
Data from CoinGlass shows that September, which has historically been a weak month for Bitcoin, ended in positive territory for the fourth consecutive year. The month saw a gain of 6.33% in 2025, following gains of 3.91% in 2023, 7.29% in 2024, and 5.16% in 2025.
The 'Red September' rule, which stated that the market would lose value during this time, has failed to hold true. In fact, July, August, and September all ended higher for the first time on record, resulting in a 42.71% gain for the third quarter.
