Bitcoin Bulls Defend $82,000 Zone Amid Market Volatility
The Bitcoin price around $82,000 is now a critical benchmark for analysts. Holding this support zone between $81,500 and $83,000 could keep the door open for a push above $90,000. If BTC fails to maintain this level, the market may face a deeper correction.
Bitcoin's rally lost momentum after peaking near $87,400 on September 21. The price has since retraced to the $82,000, $83,000 range, which is now seen as a key defensive line for bulls. This zone holds historical significance: in May, Bitcoin formed a high around $82,000 before dropping to $57,000 in June. Now, this former resistance level has become potential support.
Jeff Anderson, head of STS Digital's U.S. division, highlights the $82,000 level as crucial, citing a potential "Double Top" pattern. A break below this zone could see Bitcoin retest the upper $70,000 range. Anderson does not see this as the end of the bull cycle, however, noting that macroeconomic factors like U.S. inflation could continue supporting BTC.
External pressures, particularly in the bond market, are also influencing Bitcoin's price. Rising Treasury yields make risk assets like cryptocurrencies less attractive. Analysts agree that defending the $81,500, $83,000 range is vital to maintaining a constructive market outlook.
