Bitcoin Bulls Run Wild as Market Players Predict Price Surge
Bitcoin's price has been on the rise since September, and several prominent market players have weighed in with bullish predictions for the cryptocurrency. Veteran trader Peter Brandt forecasted a peak between $300,000 and $600,000 by the end of 2029, while also flagging risks of a near-term pullback.
Fundstrat's Tom Lee made an even more aggressive call on September 30, targeting Bitcoin at $200,000 to $250,000 by the end of 2026. He cited the reclaim of the 200-day moving average, institutional inflows, and broader adoption drivers as factors supporting his prediction.
Arthur Hayes, co-founder and CIO of BitMEX, also reiterated his long-term bullish stance in September, seeing a path to $1 million Bitcoin by 2030. While he did not provide a precise short-term price target, Hayes emphasized the potential for acceleration in late 2027 or early 2028 driven by liquidity from AI-related dynamics and money printing.
In October, Citi raised its 12-month Bitcoin price target to approximately $113,000, $113,400, representing a roughly 39% upward revision from its prior forecast near $82,000. At report time, Bitcoin was trading at $86,304, having remained above the $80,000 mark since September 18th.
