Bitcoin Buyers' Break-Even Point Hinges on Entry Date
Bitcoin has seen significant gains in recent months, rising by about 35% over the last 90 days. However, this surge does not necessarily mean that all buyers are profiting from their investments.
The key factor determining whether a buyer is underwater, holding assets worth less than what they paid for them, is when they purchased Bitcoin.
Buyers who entered the market in early July, when Bitcoin was around $63,500, have seen their investment rise by 35%. Those who bought in early August are up roughly 33%, while those from early September have gained a more modest 9%.
On the other hand, buyers who purchased Bitcoin at its peak price of $126,080 need a climb of about 47% to break even. For January buyers, the situation is more challenging, with a loss of about 3%. They would need an increase similar to this to recoup their investment.
