Bitcoin Cash Price Rally Fueled by Leverage and Liquidity Clusters
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) surged by 18% in the past day, but its price remains down over 52% in the last 90 days. The rally is largely driven by increased leverage in the perpetual market, where long positions dominate and funding rates have spiked, signaling potential overheating. In contrast, the spot market shows weak demand with more selling than buying for 10 consecutive days, raising concerns about the sustainability of the price rise.
The price of BCH could still move higher towards $315 due to liquidity clusters, but there is a risk of a pullback towards $260 if momentum shifts. This risk is exacerbated by resistance levels and heavy long exposure. Despite this, some analysts are optimistic that BCH could continue to climb, driven by its perceived scalability advantages over Bitcoin.
The recent price surge in BCH has been accompanied by gains in other altcoins, including Zcash, Cardano, Dogecoin, and Chainlink, which have all posted double-digit percentage gains. This rally is attributed to optimism around the U.S. Digital Asset Market Clarity Act and bond buybacks.
