Bitcoin Corrects Below $84K as Altcoins Plummet in Crypto Market
Bitcoin's price has dropped below $84,000 after a correction that began yesterday evening. The asset had surged past $87,000 earlier in the week but was stopped at around $82,000 on Saturday. It rebounded to over $87,000 again on Wednesday morning before being pushed south by another rejection.
The altcoins have followed suit, with XRP plummeting by more than 7% to under $1.50 and Ethereum dropping below $2,700. Other major losers include DOGE, ADA, XLM, BCH, UNI, CRO, ZEC, NEAR, and RAIN.
LTC is one of the few exceptions today, having rocketed by almost 8% to $68. The total crypto market cap has shed nearly 3% daily and stands at $2.850 trillion on CMC.
