Bitcoin Death Cross Sparks Bearish Sentiment Amid Crypto Market Uncertainty

A 'Death Cross' technical indicator has appeared in the Bitcoin price chart, which often precedes a significant decline. In this case, it could signal a 30% drop in value.

The indicator emerged as Bitcoin's 50-day moving average fell below its 200-day moving average, a bearish setup that typically weakens further if BTC breaks above the $68,500, $70,000 resistance region. However, this technical risk is compounded by several fundamental pressures.

A recent security vulnerability in Coldcard firmware has allowed attackers to drain nearly $89 million from over 4,500 Bitcoin addresses. The hack affected weak keys generated by a 2021 version of the software and did not compromise the Bitcoin network itself.

The exploit raises concerns about self-custody security and may further erode investor confidence in the cryptocurrency market.
