Bitcoin Defends $76K Amid Weak Trend Strength and Liquidity Clusters
Bitcoin's price has recovered from a brief dip below $76,000 after opening at $78,189 and reaching an intraday high of $78,250. The decline extended the cryptocurrency's retreat from the $79,000, $80,000 region, where several recovery attempts have stalled since late August.
The price action has formed lower highs, indicating that sellers remain active during rebounds. Political uncertainty surrounding the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act and the Federal Reserve's policy decision contributed to the cautious mood.
Despite the decline, Bitcoin remains above the daily Supertrend level at $72,786, keeping the broader signal in bullish territory. However, a sustained daily close below the demand area near $75,500, $76,000 would place the August breakout structure under pressure and increase the risk of another test of $74,000.
The 4-hour chart confirms a less decisive short-term setup, with weak trend strength reflected in the low ADX reading. Trading near the lower Bollinger Band suggests persistent selling pressure, although it also leaves room for a short-term rebound if the boundary continues to hold.
