Bitcoin Defies Hawkish Fed, Holds Near $77K Amid Weak ETF Demand
Bitcoin traded near $77,719 on Friday despite a hawkish Federal Reserve decision and setbacks for the CLARITY Act and weak ETF demand. In the past 24 hours, Bitcoin gained 1.73%, while Ethereum rose 1.96% to trade around the $2,490 mark.
Riya Sehgal, Research Analyst at Delta Exchange, noted that the resilience is notable given that spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs saw roughly $592 million in combined outflows earlier this week.
Sehgal said for now, the market appears to be consolidating rather than reversing decisively. Buyers are defending support, but stronger follow-through is needed before the broader trend improves.
