Bitcoin Defies Market Volatility with Fifth Straight Winning Week
Bitcoin is poised to wrap up its fifth consecutive winning week as US Treasury yields stabilize after surging earlier in the month. The cryptocurrency's resilience comes despite a volatile week for stocks and commodities, with crude oil prices also pulling back.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average is on track for its fourth straight weekly decline, but Bitcoin has managed to buck the trend, rising 4% over the past five trading days to reach $84,500. This marks a continuation of its winning streak that began at the end of August and has seen its price surge by 30% in just one month.
The stabilization of Treasury yields, which had been steadily climbing in recent days, is providing some much-needed relief for markets. The benchmark 10-year Treasury yield remains steady at 5.175%, while oil prices have declined on hopes for renewed peace talks between the US and Iran. Brent crude has fallen by 2% to $104.79 per barrel.
Other digital assets are also in the green, with Ethereum, Solana, and Dogecoin each up 2-3% in the past 24 hours. Analysts remain encouraged by Bitcoin's ability to withstand market volatility, but many believe it needs to stay above $80,000 for a sustained bull run that could see its price return to levels above $100,000.
