Bitcoin Dominance Hits 59.9%, Signals Rising Risk Appetite
Bitcoin's dominance in the cryptocurrency market is nearing 60%, signaling a rise in risk appetite among investors. This shift is evident as Tether's (USDT) market share has declined to about 6.3%. In contrast, Bitcoin's share of the total cryptocurrency market capitalization has expanded significantly.
CoinDesk reports that the drop in Tether's share can be interpreted as a sign that market participants are moving funds out of stablecoins and into cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. This trend suggests a broader increase in investors' willingness to take on risk.
Oliver Caddick, head of marketing at Tesseract Group, is watching the 10-year real yield closely. He believes that if it remains consistently above 3%, Bitcoin will be more likely to retest $80,000 to $82,000 than move towards $90,000.
