Bitcoin Dominance Hits New High as Crypto Market Sees Modest Gains
The cryptocurrency market saw modest gains on Tuesday, but overall participation was subdued. Bitcoin (BTC) led the way, rising 0.64% to $64,261.15, while Ethereum (ETH) gained 0.37% to $1,876.50.
Major altcoins were mostly higher, with XRP up 0.07%, BNB adding 0.39%, Solana (SOL) rising 0.20%, and Dogecoin (DOGE) advancing 0.23%. Hyperliquid was the standout performer among large-cap names, climbing 1.83%.
Bitcoin's dominance continued to rise, reaching 58.76% of total crypto market capitalization. Ethereum's share declined to 10.32%, a sign that investors are still favoring Bitcoin's perceived defensive quality and liquidity over broad alt exposure.
