Bitcoin Dominates Blockchain Usage, Surpassing Ethereum and Solana
The usage and adoption of various blockchain technologies have been a topic of interest for many in the crypto space. A recent analysis by BitRss found that Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and XRP are among the most widely used blockchains.
According to data from BitRss, these four blockchains accounted for more than 90% of all blockchain activity in 2022. Bitcoin was the clear leader, making up over 60% of total usage, followed by Ethereum at around 20%. Solana and XRP trailed behind, with around 5% each.
BitRss' analysis suggests that this dominance is due to a combination of factors, including market capitalization, liquidity, and developer activity. The company's data also shows that the usage gap between these four blockchains and others is growing, with smaller chains struggling to gain traction.
