Bitcoin continued its dominance in early trading on May 10, 2026, reaching a price of $80,798 and claiming the top spot on CoinGecko's trending coins board with a 0.5% daily gain.
The largest cryptocurrency held onto its position despite muted 24-hour price action, with trading volume reaching approximately $18.7 billion and market capitalization sitting near $1.618 trillion.
Bitcoin's dominance in the crypto market currently stands at around 58.3%, according to CoinGecko data.
Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee predicted that Bitcoin could reach between $150,000 and $200,000 by late 2026, citing institutional ETF demand, post-halving supply tightness, and eased geopolitical pressure as factors supporting his forecast.
