Bitcoin Drops 3.8% After Clarity Act Fails Senate Vote
The Bitcoin (BTC) price dropped 3.8% to $75,748 after the Clarity Act failed to pass in the U.S. Senate with a 49-50 vote.
The bill needed 60 votes to advance but could not secure enough Democratic support.
BTC ETFs saw $450.4 million in outflows, the largest single-day withdrawal since June 24, with Fidelity's FBTC leading the losses at $214.8 million and BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust following at $161.7 million.
Strategy, the largest corporate Bitcoin holder, stated that 'Bitcoin has had legal and regulatory clarity in the U.S. for years.'
