Bitcoin Enters 'Goldilocks Zone' Amid Bullish Signs
The price of Bitcoin (BTC) has broken through several key indicators, suggesting that capitulation is over and the market may be poised for further growth. According to Galaxy Research, a comparison of the spot price of BTC over time reveals three broad categories of models: ceiling models, cost-basis models, and floor models.
Ceiling models identify bull peaks when the market extends above historical trends, while cost-basis models use on-chain data to estimate whether current holders are in profit. Floor models detect when selling pressure exhausts. By analyzing BTC's price over the past decade and a half, every major market top saw the price touch or break through ceiling models.
This week, BTC broke through its 200-week moving average floor and the shorter-period Pi Cycle (111-day simple moving average) and short-term holder realized price cost bases. As of Thursday morning, Bitcoin was trading above all floors and cost bases but well below the ceiling indicators.
