Hashdex has announced the liquidation of its Bitcoin ETF (DEFI) due to low assets under management, which currently stand at $14.7 million. The fund is set to be closed on August 17, 2026.

The decision was made after reviewing the product's performance and design specifics. Hashdex manages approximately $200 million across its operations.

Visa has introduced a new feature that allows clients using Visa Direct to make stablecoin-based payouts through Zero Hash. This expansion offers a significant increase in acceptance points, with over 18 billion locations available in more than 195 countries.

The move highlights the growing importance of stablecoins in everyday payments and transactions. However, concerns have been raised regarding security risks tied to artificial intelligence in crypto after the discovery of a problem in Coldcard hardware wallets.
