Bitcoin ETF Demand Stays Strong Despite Hawkish Jobs Report
Institutional demand for Bitcoin has been increasing steadily over several weeks, despite a recent jobs report that could lead to higher interest rates.
The U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs have seen inflows of roughly $986.9 million during the week ending September 4, with a three-week net inflow total of about $3.8 billion, the strongest such stretch this year, according to SoSoValue data cited by Cointelegraph.
The timing is notable because Bitcoin has been trading around the $80,000 area while interest-rate expectations have been shifting underneath it. On Thursday, ETFs pulled in nearly $731 million in a single session, their biggest daily haul since January. BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) accounted for a large share of the buying.
The recent surge is a reversal from the first half of the year, when repeated ETF redemptions often amplified Bitcoin's selloffs. After three consecutive weeks of positive flows, total net assets across U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs stood at about $101.3 billion on Friday, while cumulative net inflows since launch reached roughly $55.6 billion.
