Bitcoin ETF Flows Turn Positive on $4.6 Billion Inflow
Flows into US-listed spot BTC exchange-traded funds have turned positive for the year, driven by a recovery in the largest cryptocurrency and increased investor demand. Investors have poured roughly $4.6 billion into these funds since August 19, when the US Treasury announced it would increase buybacks of long-dated bonds.
This influx has reversed outflows accumulated earlier in the year, with the cohort taking in about $320 million on a net basis in 2026 so far, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The positive flows are a welcome development for the crypto market, which has been struggling with declining investor interest and regulatory challenges.
The turnaround is attributed to the recent rebound in the price of BTC, which has revived investor appetite for cryptocurrency-related investments. However, it's worth noting that the industry continues to face regulatory headwinds and other challenges, which may impact future growth prospects.
